ABSTRACT

This study aims at developing a culture and arts education training program for school administrators by investigating their awareness of culture and arts education and their opinions on culture and arts education training programs. It employs both Focus Group Interview (FGI) conducted with school education administrators, arts policy researchers, and teacher training experts and questionnaire survey for school education administrators. This study presents a training program for school education administrators that consists of six parts: `Cultural Arts`, `Overseas Arts and Culture Education`, `Excellence Cases of Arts and Culture Education`, `Cultural Arts Education Operation`, `Cultural Arts Experience`, and `Arts and Culture Education`. This study also suggests that appropriate time for the training would be during the time from April to May, from September to October, or vacations when school administration is relatively not busy. Lastly, it recommends a short-term training program for 15 to 20 hours and a mid-term training program for over 30 hours.
